Hold for pickup

Carriers allow you to ship to one of their locations for pickup at your convenience. This adds flexibility if there is no viable delivery address.

ReReady is currently developing a "hold for pickup" feature for FedEx.

Why hold for pickup?

There are many reasons an address might not be viable for deliveries, temporarily or permanently. For example:

Where will the shipment be held?

The carrier will hold the shipment at the location you enter. You must enter an official carrier location for the shipment to be held there.

How long will carriers hold for pickup?

The carrier can't hold a shipment forever. Different carriers have different policies on how long they can hold a shipment for pickup:

How are held shipments picked up?

The recipient will be notified by both the carrier and ReReady when a shipment is on hold for them. These notifications will specify where and how to pickup the shipment. In most cases, the recipient will need to present a photo ID before the shipment is released to them.
