Why set a carrier requirement?
There are a variety of reasons you might want to set a carrier requirement on a shipment:
- Your employee has easier access to that carrier.
- Your employee is returning other equipment via that carrier at the same time.
- Your company has better delivery experiences with that carrier.
- Etc.
How much does a carrier requirement cost?
The cost of a carrier requirement depends whether it is an outbound shipment (empty box) or a return shipment (full box), and whether it is domestic or international. This additional fee helps us cover the added cost of using a more expensive carrier.
Outbound | Return | |
Domestic | + $20 | + $10 |
International | + $90 | + $30 |
Outbound is more expensive than return because it's an upgrade from a standard carrier to a premium carrier. (Return shipments are always through a premium carrier.)
