What is the difference between standard and premium carriers?

Standard carriers are also known as postal carriers. They are usually government-operated. They generally provide the most affordable service.

Premium carriers are non-postal carriers. They are privately operated. They generally provide faster and more reliable service:

• FedEx
• Sendle
• UPS

How is a carrier chosen for a shipment?

We automatically choose the most affordable carrier for each particular shipment, with certain constraints:

• We only use your selected premium carrier if you added a carrier requirement.
• For outbound shipments to employees (empty boxes), we only use premium carriers for shipments to Australia and Mexico. Otherwise we generally use USPS Priority Mail.
• For return shipments to companies (boxes with laptops), we only use premium carriers.
